We have two products: Smart Glass and Smart Film. Both work the same way, going from clear to frosted with the flick of switch and providing privacy on demand. However, Smart Film is smoothed across the surface of existing glass, while Smart Glass contains the same PDLC switchable film layer laminated between two pieces of tempered glass.
Just like a light, electric privacy glass and film switch ON and OFF. When the electricity is ON the PDLC (polymer dispersed liquid crystal) molecules align themselves and glass instantly becomes transparent.
When the power is OFF the liquid crystal molecules scatter the light to create opacity, acting as an electronic blind and providing privacy and security.
